The EQ550 faithfully captures the essence of iconic American EQs from the late 1960s, delivering exceptional punch, low-frequency transparency, and precise imaging.

One distinctive feature of the EQ550 is its Proportional Q functionality, which intuitively adjusts the filter bandwidth based on settings, minimizing phase-shift commonly found in other equalizers.

The EQ550 offers reciprocal equalization at 21 points with boost options in 5 steps up to 15dB for each point. It features three overlapping ranges with selectable peaking or shelving in high and low frequency bands, along with an independent band-pass filter. The EQ550 introduces advanced digital features while preserving the analog processing characteristics.

This plugin provides users with flexibility by allowing them to choose between different equalizer modes (Stereo, Mid, Side) and eliminate analog saturation from the processing to achieve a pristine digital sound.

To utilize EQ550 as a plug-in, an AUv3-compatible host app such as GarageBand, Auria, AUM, or Cubasis is required. Users can access the EQ550 within the list of Audio Unit extensions for effect plug-ins in the host application.
